3 great things in my life right now...

1) So I think I have talked about my new nephew before but I don't think I have talked about how much in love with him I am. Kent Samuel Lewis! He is Billy and Kristen Lewis' son and he loves me and I love that he loves me! He is almost 6 months now and loves to stand on your legs and he gives the best wet kisses! Kristen is very good about sending me photos of him. God sure did bless me with 3 great kiddos in my family!

2) Oh and I got new glasses! I have the worst eyes and have had the same glasses since 7th grade so I figured it was time to get new. I love them and I can see sooooo good!

3) Ohhh.....and Bobby and I just celebrated our 7th anniversary! And we have less than 7 months to go till we get married!

Bridal Party

So I thought I would introduce my bridal party. These women mean the world to me and I feel very honored that they decided to embark on this wedding journey with me! Drum roll please!

My Matron of Honor: My wonderful beautiful sister Kara. Kara has been the best big sister a girl could ask for. She is always there for me whenever I need her. She looks out for me and accepts me for who I am. She has always kept me real, kept me sane. She is so much like Bobby that is scares me sometimes. I love how they have a special friendship.

Bridesmaid: Tiffany Weddel. She is like my other big sister; in fact...Tiffany is the only child so when I came into her life, I somehow filled that little sister spot. She has blessed me by not only being my friend but bringing into my life 3 girls that I adore and by making me Godmother to one of them.
My Flower Girl: Campbell Jade Weddel is the most princessy princess you will find at the moment. Everything is pink and everything ends in a happy ending. She brings laughter to my life and I have been blessed to be called her nanny!

Bridesmaid: Kristen Lewis. (in the middle) She is married to Bobby's brother Billy. I can't even start to tell you how important this girl is to me. She is a wonderful "outsider" to the Lewis's. She always tells me how it is (without being rude) and has the best laugh in the world. Our friendship over the past couple of years has just blossomed into a sisterhood that I am glad to be apart of.
Bridesmaid: Angie Talbert. (on right) She is Bobby's sister. Angie always had a way of making me feel like part of the family, even on the first day I met her. She has this bubbly way about her and even though she is very dramatic, she is a wonderful future sis-in-law!

Bridesmaid: Abby Davenport. I actually only met Abby about a year and a half ago but the day I met her, is the day we became instant friends. She is like Bobby (minus the clueless part of Bobby). I think this a reason I get along with her so well. She is becoming my best friend and I absolutely adore her. I can only pray we stay life long friends because Abby's someone you want in your life forever.

Bridesmaid: Heather Wu. I met Heather through Tiffany. She has two amazing boys that I babysit for. Over the past 5 years, we have slowly became friends. Like Tiffany, I think she sees me as her little sister. She is very calm, very patient and one of the easiest people to get along with. She is a blessing to my life.

Flower girl: Landry Kate Smith. This child is one of the biggest blessings in my life. My love for this child is beyond the stars. She makes me laugh every time I get around her. And I love that she loves me. And I love that she loves her Uncle Bobby. I would do anything in the world for this girl.
(I don't know why Landry's is underline, couldn't fix it)

God has been really good to me by giving me all these girls! I can't wait to walk down that isle and not only see Bobby at the end, but see all my best friends waiting there too. I couldn't do it without them.

Wedding Dress Shopping

So last Saturday was the big dress shopping day. Mom, Kara, my future sister in laws Angie and Kristen, my future mother in law Debbie and myself drove to Bridal Boutique in Lewisville to try on wedding dresses. I must say it is an over whelming experience. All these dresses at so many different prices and so many different styles. I am so glad my girls were there to help me. I picked out 7 including the one I originally went to try on. As I am putting the first one on, I look at myself in the mirror and I must say, this is the first time I ever felt like a grown-up. When I step foot out of that dressing room and I saw my mom take one look at me, I felt like time had stopped. I looked in the full mirror under this bright light and I LOVED what I saw. The dress was perfect. It fit in all the right places and had the right amount of everything I was looking for. And everyone agreed. They told me to try them all on just to make sure, so I did. But every time I would put a new one on, it didn't compare to that first one. When I got to the one I had originally went to see, it was a 50lbs dress! I almost couldn't walk it was that heavy. The lady that was helping us told me that I needed to try on the ones I love again so I went back to the first one and when I stepped outside again, everyone looked at me and we all knew. This was it. I took a deep breathe, looked at my sister who was in front of me with tears in her eyes and I said, "This is it! This is the one!"

Obviously, I cant post any pictures so you will have to wait to see it the day of. I'm beyond excited about this life changing experience!

Sunday, January 9, 2011

So instead of doing a huge long post and throwing a thousand pictures on here, I decided to only put 3 of my favorite pictures from the holiday season!

My first favorite goes to my wonderful fiance and my wonderful niece. I can't begin to describe the amount of love I have for these two people. They both make me very happy and both keep me laughing! This picture is my absolute favorite. She has become very fond of her Uncle Bobby and I couldn't ask for anything more.

My second involves the same people. Bobby has always told me that he only wants boys when we decide to have children. Over and over again I have been told this. But I don't know how God can't give this man a girl too. He's so wonderful with her.

And my third favorite is with my girls. This picture is a tradition to Kara and I and recently we have added Landry. Both of these girls make my life that much better. I am so blessed that God gave them both to me.
