Galveston

I went with Bobby's family to Galveston this past week. Bobby and I had to fly to Houston (thank you Kara!) since we didn't get to go down til Wednesday (Bobby had school). I hate flying...and this flight was probably the worse I've ever been on. It was bumpy and he brought the plane down way to fast. I had a headache and felt like puking til we got to dinner. But after that, Galveston was perfect. I had so much fun. Ate really good food, relaxed, read my new book (all of it). The house we stayed at was on the beach so I woke up every day looking at something so big to me but something so small to God. It was beautiful weather the whole time we were there. I did forget my camera so I had Bobby send me a few.

June 8-12

Monday June 8th
Kara, Landry, Shay, Kensington, Amy and I all went to the zoo. We had so much fun.

Kara, Landry, Shay and Kensington
Mimi bought Landry and Kensington matching outfits
I swear Kensington was saying Dani...just ask Shay! She heard it too.
ok....I took this picture of Landry at the zoo without all of that on. Bobby got a hold of my computer, put this pic in paint, and left this for me as my screen saver, so I'm sharing it with you.

Tuesday June 9th
Campbell and I decided to go up to the shops of highland village to play in the water fountain. As she was playing, a little boy ran into her and gave her a nose bleed. Her first ever. So not only is she covered in blood, but I am. Thank you to the very nice mom who was sitting at Blue Goose who ran out with towels and ice for her! Advice for all you moms: make sure you always have an extra pair of clothes with you because the one time you forget, your child gets a nose bleed! (not my case this time, I luckily enough brought her a dress to put on)

Ms. Dani got her some ice cream after lunch for her nose! Since it had melted I told her to drink it, and this is the result!

Thursday June 11th
Today was my unofficial last day with Campbell. And what I mean by unofficial, is that Campbell started full time at school so my daytime's with her are no more but that in no way means I will ever stop seeing her. I plan on getting her one day a week from school and bring her back to the house and swim. I already miss her so much. Not only will I miss Cami, but I'll miss Tiffany too. I had 3 and 1/2years of one-on-one bonding with her and becoming a little sister to her that it's really hard to imagine not seeing them 2 every week. Here are some of the party Tiffany and Jason threw for me.

Me, Tiffany and Jason
As my 'thank you' gift, they bought me a brand new coach purse. It's so beautiful and so classy. I can dress it up or down. I've had it less than a week and I get compliments on it where ever I go.

Us 3 girls....sorry for the funny color, forgot the night lens was on. I made Cami a build-a-bear and I recorded my voice in it.

My cousin Chase graduated from Clyde High School with Honors. Dad, Mom, Kara, Landry and I drove down to Abilene to watch him graduate. I'm so proud of you Chase and I love you!

Kara can't be in a car for long then 10 minutes w/0 falling asleep.

Wonder where Landry gets that?
In her swimsuit, shades, hat and flip-flops

Dancing with her Mimi
Swimming with her Pop
Chase's walking!

Well that was my week. Figured I'd put it all in one blog instead of 4. Hope all of y'all had as much fun as I had.

My time to Vent

OK....if you are reading this and you aren't completely pissed off about Kris Allen winning American Idol then I suggest you stop reading. I'm about to let loose on how America messed up once again!

I am so mad. I have been mad since 9:03pm last night. How could America vote some hillbilly one note range dude from Arkansas that doesn't have the balls to get excited when he wins or the confidence to even sing. Tuesday night was horrible for him. Adam sang that gay song about freaking no boundaries way better than Kris. What pisses me off the most is that America is way to judgemental. They kept focusing on "if Adam is gay" or "do we really want a gay American Idol"! I mean really....I didn't know this show was about how people are raised and if they like boys or girls. I thought this was a singing competition. My bad!

I think the reason Adam didn't win was because only a hand few of us SMART Americans actually got him. I understood Adam. Every note, every wardrobe, every entrance, even the eyeliner. He's beyond America's brain capacity. The average individual looked at both of them and saw this clean cut, all-American, married boy who picked up his guitar and went to town. Then in the other corner you have this loud mouth, maybe-gay, wardrobe wearing, eyeliner, combat boots boy who can hit notes Celine Dion wishes she could hit. Every week was even better than the week before with him. I can tell you every song he sang but I cant tell you any songs Kris sang.

Last night I really wasn't surprised. I was hurt. I even told my mom that morning that I had this feeling that America chose Kris. That people could be so mean to vote for Kris just because they didn't like the way Adam looked or was. I know Adam will go on to way better things and if he decides to go on Broadway, I will be in the audience. The day his CD comes out (cause we all know Simon Cowell will give him a record deal) I will be the first in line to buy.

I want to be very clear, I like Kris. I have nothing against Kris. He went out and sang his one note range very well. I am mad at America's voters. If you happen to be one and you voted for Kris, shame on you or give me a valid reason why you did and make it about the singing. Not because you like the all-American over the possible gay-guy. I'm sorry and I sure a few of you will comment me back and that's fine. This is a free country.

One more thing, if you look back at last nights announcing of the "next" American Idol, you will only see 3 judges standing wheres there's normally four. Simon did not stand and I don't blame him.

P.S. I am a voter. I did vote so I'm not just speaking my mind and being a hypocrite. I text voted for Adam way more than I did last year for David Cook so if you know me and you know how many times I voted for David, then you can only imagine how many times I voted for Adam!
