My time to Vent
OK....if you are reading this and you aren't completely pissed off about Kris Allen winning American Idol then I suggest you stop reading. I'm about to let loose on how America messed up once again!
I am so mad. I have been mad since 9:03pm last night. How could America vote some hillbilly one note range dude from Arkansas that doesn't have the balls to get excited when he wins or the confidence to even sing. Tuesday night was horrible for him. Adam sang that gay song about freaking no boundaries way better than Kris. What pisses me off the most is that America is way to judgemental. They kept focusing on "if Adam is gay" or "do we really want a gay American Idol"! I mean really....I didn't know this show was about how people are raised and if they like boys or girls. I thought this was a singing competition. My bad!
I think the reason Adam didn't win was because only a hand few of us SMART Americans actually got him. I understood Adam. Every note, every wardrobe, every entrance, even the eyeliner. He's beyond America's brain capacity. The average individual looked at both of them and saw this clean cut, all-American, married boy who picked up his guitar and went to town. Then in the other corner you have this loud mouth, maybe-gay, wardrobe wearing, eyeliner, combat boots boy who can hit notes Celine Dion wishes she could hit. Every week was even better than the week before with him. I can tell you every song he sang but I cant tell you any songs Kris sang.
Last night I really wasn't surprised. I was hurt. I even told my mom that morning that I had this feeling that America chose Kris. That people could be so mean to vote for Kris just because they didn't like the way Adam looked or was. I know Adam will go on to way better things and if he decides to go on Broadway, I will be in the audience. The day his CD comes out (cause we all know Simon Cowell will give him a record deal) I will be the first in line to buy.
I want to be very clear, I like Kris. I have nothing against Kris. He went out and sang his one note range very well. I am mad at America's voters. If you happen to be one and you voted for Kris, shame on you or give me a valid reason why you did and make it about the singing. Not because you like the all-American over the possible gay-guy. I'm sorry and I sure a few of you will comment me back and that's fine. This is a free country.
One more thing, if you look back at last nights announcing of the "next" American Idol, you will only see 3 judges standing wheres there's normally four. Simon did not stand and I don't blame him.
P.S. I am a voter. I did vote so I'm not just speaking my mind and being a hypocrite. I text voted for Adam way more than I did last year for David Cook so if you know me and you know how many times I voted for David, then you can only imagine how many times I voted for Adam!

Some news
Hey there! I wanted to tell everyone some news I recently got about myself. All of you know I was in school to become an Interior Designer. At UNT, you have to be accepted into the program to be able to come one. They have a lot of applicants and only select a very small number. Unfortunately, I was not one of the ones selected. So I had two options, wait again next year and re-try out or switch my major. I'm already 23 years old, almost 24. I don't want to wait so I decided to switch.....and if you have ever heard when people say "God works in mysterious ways"...well believe it because this is just another reason why God is so good. The major I have decided to switch to is a Bachelor of Science in Home Furnishings Merchandising. In simple terms, I'm a buyer. I still take all the decorating class and floor planning classes but this degree is more of a business side rather then a design side. And I am very excited about it. If I can take a full load (meaning 12 hrs every semester) and take a few summer courses, I could be done in 2 years!!!!!!! Which is soooo wonderful because I'll finally be done & ready to work but also... I can finally get married to the man of my dreams.
Thank you to all of you who have supported me through my long process of college. I have been in school my whole life and I am sooo ready to be done. I finally have a stopping point. I can actually see the finish line
and I'm going to keep on racing til I get there!
